HOW ARE NIC SALTS DIFFERENT?

Ordinarily, e-liquids come in ‘freebase’ form. Freebase nicotine is volatile, so when vapers inhale an e-vapour aerosol, the nicotine ‘off-gases’ (evaporates) and deposits in the mouth and upper respiratory tract, where it is slowly absorbed into the blood.

This range is different as it holds our key ingredient: nicotine salts. Nicotine salts are less volatile than freebase and remain in the inhaled e-vapour aerosol until they reach the lung, where they are absorbed more quickly.

WHAT ARE NIC SALTS?

The raw form of nicotine that adds substance to your vapour is referred to as normal or freebase nicotine, which is commonly used in e-liquids. The reaction from introducing a special acidic compound to the freebase nicotine results in the creation of nicotine salts and their unique properties.

Nic salt is very soluble in fat and water, and thus more rapidly absorbed by the lungs, providing an instantly satisfying flavour when inhaling.

While freebase nicotine affects the liquid’s overall flavour, salts have next-to-no effect in this area, meaning you get a more flavourful, enjoyable and richer vaping experience.

Our entire range of blu 2.0 flavours are made with nic salts for your enjoyment. Our blu 2.0 liquid pods come in the following flavours, all available in 18mg/ml and 9mg/ml nicotine concentrations: Golden Tobacco; Fresh Menthol; Fresh Mint; Berry Mix; Fresh Mango and Blueberry Ice.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 9MG/ML AND 18MG/ML NICOTINE STRENGTH?

18mg/ml is our highest nicotine strength and contains twice the amount of nicotine as our 9mg/ml liquidpods. While our 9mg/ml pods are more likely to deliver a smoother sensation when you vape them, our stronger 18mg/ml pods provide a stronger nicotine sensation.

DO NIC SALT FLAVOURS CONTAIN MORE NICOTINE THAN REGULAR FLAVOURS?

Comparing the nicotine percentages between the freebase and nic salt ranges does not provide an accurate and complete picture. Although the nicotine content may be the same in some instances – for example, we offer nic salt flavours in 9mg/ml and 18mg/ml and freebase vape liquids in 9mg/ml and 18mg/ml - you are likely to experience the nic salt flavours more intensely. This is because the quick absorption of nic salts is likely to provide an instant satisfaction that you can’t really compare to the ‘traditional’ vaping experience.
