HOW TO DISPOSE OF BLU PRODUCTS

Simply drop the whole thing in the electrical recycling bin. Do not attempt to remove the battery from the blu bar 600.

The blu bar 1000 has a removable battery that can easily be separated from the outer casing of the vape device by twisting the base. This means that you can either:

• Drop the whole blu bar 1000 device in the electrical recycling bin; or

• Dispose of the battery in the electrical recycling bin and dispose of the outer casing in the plastics recycling bin.

Package up your used blu devices and/or disposables, ensuring that the parcel does not exceed the maximum weight and size dimensions of:

Max weight: 20kg
Max parcel dimensions – 61 x 46 x 46 cm
Max tube dimensions – length 90 cm. Length + twice the diameter must be no more than 104cm.

Returning a blu bar 1000? Don’t worry about removing the battery. Just package up the whole device and follow the steps below.

Each parcel should contain a maximum of two blu products. If you would like to return more than two blu products, then please send these to us in a separate parcel(s).

You will need to follow steps 1-5 for each parcel that you return to us.

Fill in the details requested on the portal. Returning blu 2.0 devices, blu PRO devices or blu bars? Just state ‘Device’ within the ‘Products being returned’ box.

You should now have received an email containing a QR code and attaching a Freepost label.

Click ‘Continue’ and then choose how you would like to return your items – either book a slot for the parcel to be collected from you or drop it off your item at your preferred Royal Mail outlet.
You can search for your nearest service by clicking on ‘More information’ within the ‘Drop off your item’ section and following the ‘Services near you’ link.

If you choose to drop your parcel off, you can either:

• Take the parcel to a Royal Mail Delivery Office or ParcelShop and show the QR code contained in the email we sent you; or
• Print the Freepost label attached to the email we sent you, attach the label to your parcel and drop the parcel off at a Royal Mail parcel postbox, Delivery Office or ParcelShop.

If you book a collection, you can either:
• Opt for the postman to bring the return label to you when they collect the parcel; or
• Print the return label attached to the email we sent you and attach this to your parcel before collection.

Once your parcel has been dropped off or collected, you can track your parcel to see if it has reached us using Royal Mail tracking.

Once we receive your parcel, we will dispose of your items responsibly for you.

Disposable vapes with built-in batteries can be brought to collection points for waste electrical and electronic equipment. For safe product disposal instructions, please contact our customer service team, send the devices back to us, or check with your local collection points for bins dedicated to WEEE waste.

If waste is not properly managed and ends up in a landfill, there is risk of leakage of hazardous substances into soil. In the case of proper disposal, the risk is negligible due to the controlled process of neutralising such e-waste.

Most disposable vapes have lithium-ion batteries, which are regarded as hazardous waste. That means that they must be transported according to the transport requirement of hazardous goods and disposed of properly, typically at specialised facilities. If you throw them in the bin, they could cause a fire or could end up in a landfill where they could leak chemicals and pollute the environment.
