Changes to clearomiser compatibility

We here at blu are always trying to improve our products, not only to
provide a better vaping experience but also to ensure we comply with all current and forthcoming industry regulations.

That’s why we’ve created a new second-generation version of the blu PRO™ e-cigarette, which has a number of improvements, including a higher capacity battery and a series of under-the-hood changes to the way the unit works.

Compatibility

These technical differences mean the new clearomisers for our forthcoming second-generation blu PRO™ e-cigarette will no longer be compatible with the existing first-generation units. If you try to attach a second-generation clearomiser to a first-generation blu PRO™ kit, you’ll find the clearomiser cannot be secured to the battery.

Availability

Currently the new second-generation blu PRO™ e-cigarette and clearomisers, sold in white packaging, are exclusively available from our online vape shop, while the first-generation blu PRO™ kit and clearomisers are available for sale in UK retail Vape Shops.

clearomiser-2blu customers across various channels need to be aware of the compatibility differences between the first and second-generation clearomisers and the different blu PRO™ kits, and if necessary, check that the clearomiser matches the kit you have bought.
The first-generation clearomisers are supplied in a black/blue cardboard package, with a number underneath the barcode that starts with 5. The second-generation clearomisers are available in white packaging and will have a number under the barcode that starts with 8.

As of this publication, any blu PRO™ kit sold at UK retail requires a clearomiser sold at UK retail, or on our website. On our site, you’ll find the correct first generation clearomiser under the “accessory” section, named “blu PRO™ CLEAROMISER (PRO Kit 2015 Kit only)”. While the second generation blu PRO™ kits sold online can be used with the corresponding clearomiser that is also sold online.
